Ce qui est intriguant dans tout ça, c'est surtout ce qu'ils ont annoncé à la fin du spectacle, tout d'abord en anglais, et ensuite, un promoteur est venu l'annoncer en français: «The Australian Pink Floyd Show is changing its name: We will come back in 2011 as The British Pink Floyd Show». Un bug s'installe dans toutes nos têtes. O.K.? Et les kangourous? Et les prismes de lumière en forme d'Australie?
Après le spectacle, on vérifie, on cherche. Pourquoi donc changeraient-ils de noms? Les membres du groupes ne sont plus les mêmes? Marketing? Copyright?

Jusqu'à ce que je tombe là-dessus:
Est-on en train de revivre l'épisode "sanglant" entre Gilmour et Waters dans le plus célèbre tribute groupe de la planète, The Australian Pink Floyd Show?
L'histoire est un peu différente,mais le résultat est que l'on va se retrouver en 2011 avec 2 mega groupes:The Australian Pink Floyd Show et The British Pink Floyd Show.
Le groupe a été créé en 1988 sous le nom de "think Floyd" en Australie.
En 1993 tout le monde déménage pour l'Angleterre et le groupe change de nom pour devenir "The Australian Pink Floyd Show".
Depuis, le succès du groupe ne va cesser de croitre.Plusieurs rencontres avec David Gilmour pour asseoir la notoriété méritée des Aussies.2001,1er concert au Royal Albert Hall.Tournées mondiales à partir de 2003 avec des audiences de 5 000 à 10 000 spectateurs par concert (et même +). Au cours des années, le groupe a du se renforcer avec des musiciens pour la plupart anglais.
Il semble que depuis 2 ans, l'ambiance n 'était plus tout a fait la même et que des tensions se créaient entre les vrais Aussies et leur manager CMP entertainment.
La rupture est maintenant consommée: Les Aussies au complet changent de manager, et l'ancien manager récupère quelques musiciens non australiens pour monter TBPFS.
Je fais confiance aux Australiens pour monter une tournée encore plus spectaculaire....lisez ce communiqué (en anglais) pour comprendre qu'ils ne plaisentent pas avec la qualité.
J'espère que les British sauront faire leur place....sans parodier les Australians!

Suite de l 'épisode.
Une sacré confusion règne chez les fans américains des australian pink floyd: une tournée est annoncée pour octobre novembre aux Usa et au Canada. Sur la plupart des sites de billets, on présente la nouvelle tournée avec le communiqué transmis par le site officiel des aussies (un simple copier coller).
Or, ce sont les british pink floyd qui joueront lors de cette tournée.Par un imbroglio juridique, CMP (l'ancien manager) estime qu'il a le droit d 'exploiter le nom"the australian pink floyd show" jusqu'à la fin de l'année.

Bref, ce qu'on doit comprendre de tout ça? Nous sommes allés voir le British Pink Floyd Show, et ça explique pourquoi l'immense cochon était aussi bizarre.

Page ProgAchives Oui, je le veuxThe Great Escape sounds like mature mix of Pain of Salvation and A.C.T, which leaves you in a place where you really can't ask for more. Except the weak lead guitar sound there is really nothing to point a finger at. This is the Seventh Wonder we all know and love. The insane sense of melody, huge compositions, incredible vocal work, song-writing and musical perfection is all there, and there's no way you'd hate this if you loved Mercy Falls. Even if this isn't quite as good or complex in terms of song-writing, it still kicks a lot of ass, and is clearly one of the best releases of 2010, and one of the most worthwhile progressive metal releases that has come out in ages. If you like the aforementioned bands as well as Symhpony X, The Flower Kings hell, even early Allen/Lande, this should be right up your alley. Great stuff!

À tous les lundis, mercredis et vendredis, je suis fidèle au poste le matin et je consulte la géniale web-comic XKCD. Depuis un bout de temps, j'ai découvert un autre comic un peu du même style, Doghouse Diaires, et depuis, je ne peux pas décrocher. Lui aussi, lundi, mercredi et vendredi (ce que je me plais à appeler les jours 'impairs') nous présente un moment de joie dans la journée. Allez, ajourez vos flux RSS, et ajoutez ça!
