La formation Garolou (autrefois nommée Lougarou) fut établie autour du noyau des frères Lalonde, Marc et Michel. Deux nomades natifs d'Ontario, ils se retrouvent ensemble dans une troupe de théâtre à l'Ile-du-Prince-Edouard en 1974. Dans peu de temps, ils entrent en contact avec des musiciens de grand calibre, notamment le guitariste George Antoniak et le claviériste Steven Naylor. L'arrivée du batteur Michel "Stan" Deguire complète la première édition du groupe.

Oui, je le veuxYellow Matter Custard est un «super band» qui reprend des chansons des Beatles et est formé par Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Transatlantic, OSI, Liquid Tension/Trio Experiment,), Neal Morse (Transatlantic, Spock's Beard), Paul Gilbert (Racer X, Mr. Big) et Matt Bissonette (Mustard Seeds, Jughead, The Squirts, Joe Satriani, ELO). Leur nom vient d'une parole de la chasons "I Am the Walrus" : "Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog's eye".
Plus un projet qu'un band, ils ont performé que deux fois Live au New Jersey et à New York en 2003, et la deuxième fois fut enregistrée en endisquée et publiée sur le blog de la Soirée Prog. Chill.

Assis dans ma chaise en bambou, je mets l'album live de Mono: Holy Ground, et je mets le volume dans le tapis. Envoûtant et percutant, je me dois de vous transmettre les délices de ce duo de japonais qui excellent dans l'art du Post-Rock.

Page ProgArchives Oui, je le veuxFeaturing my favourite tracks from Hymn to the Immortal Wind as well as their 2003- 2006 releases this is Mono's first live release and a must have for fans. The addition of an orchestra brings a fuller sound to the performance and make the tracks even more epic than usual! I find that Post Rock as a genre usually treads a very thin line between bland and brilliant. Thankfully the this release falls into the latter category and whilst the majority of it is truly captivating, the weaker sections still manage to hold my interest. This is an excellent addition to any prog rock collection although I don't think it is essential.
